BE A RESCUER!

Hello Heart Partners! I TRUST you all are off into SUMMER work, play and fun! My heart is currently moved and called to revisit HIS call as a RESCUER… and I immediately turn to Yahuah’s word… Isaiah 1:17-18 TLV “Learn to do good, seek justice, relieve the oppressed, defend the orphan, plead for the widow. Come now, and let’s us reason together says ADONAI!” Can you HEAR HIM? I sure do, and I pause and listen…and I ask, “Father, what is it that you need, or desire me to reconnect with?” I hear quietly, yet profoundly… “Do YOU TRUST ME?” I read Psalm 82:3-4 TLV and breathe…”Give justice to the poor and fatherless. Be just to the afflicted and destitute. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.” I pondered…”Am I actively championing the rights of the vulnerable?” And I ask…GIVE ME THE EYES OF YOUR HEART YAHUAH! What is currently before you that you need FRESH VISION toward? Is it a family member, friend, or a complete stranger? What if you need to RESCUE in secret? To only honor your FATHER? Can you, or will you take this leap of faith to SEE what HE has to impart to your heart?

Well, two weeks ago this coming Saturday, I was just getting settled after a miraculous trip to visit my sister, when a call came for help! No! Not help for a human, but instead for an abandoned kitten where no Mama or siblings were found! Now, context is important here as most of you know I have severe asthma and allergies, still walking in faith for HIS healing….so ME? A call to rescue this kitten of 5-6 weeks old, battered in a bush on a busy neighborhood street? I sent my faithful and animal loving daughter and her husband to assist… and within minutes I was greeted by the sweetest yet very starving little kitten! HMMMM? How can we care for her? For sure we can feed her, clean her up, and for sure (I thought) we can call and find help! But after hours of calls… to no avail! My family and I quickly learned that there is a current explosion of unwanted kittens in our area, and nobody could help! So… we did what we know to do, as I was raised early in life by my grandmother who was a rescuer of all types of animals including kittens! I learned how to nurse them to health, in body and heart! To show immediate LOVE and CARE to the orphan! SO, this part was not tricky at all! So, what was the big deal? I am sure many of you are rescuers too! Well, I have been in a health trial for over a year which revolves around asthma, and daily breathing! BUT, and that’s a BIG miraculous BUT….I recently was able to be in my sister’s home with all of her amazing pets, and I had zero reaction! Interesting? VERY…and a month before I was able to enjoy my other sister’s pup who has the potential to be a trigger… so is something new happening in YAHUAH’S miracle monitor? MAYBE SO???

Meet Lovee! She brings love, joy, and delight!

We find her to simply be the cutest and super playful! So what do I do next? Do I/we accept the RESCUER job? Well, we have taken her to the VET, and they fell in love, and find her to be gaining weight and in good health! We are choosing to TRUST YAHUAH and HIS call…HE IS A GOOD FATHER and FAITHFUL ALWAYS!

I meditate on HIS word…HIS call to me soooo many years ago…. I love Ecclesiastes 3:14 in the Amplified Bible “I know that whatever God does, it endures forever; nothing can be added to it nor can be taken from it, for God does it so men will fear and worship HIM [with awe-filled reverence, knowing that HE is God.] Now…Isaiah 61:1- onward “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed and commissioned me To bring good news to the humble and afflicted; He has sent me to mind up [the wounds of] the brokenhearted, to proclaim release [from confinement and condemnation] to the physical and spiritual captives And freedom to prisoners, To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance and retribution of our God, To comfort all who mourn in Zion the following:….” The entire passage is life-giving! Let us put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness! So, am I living HIS miraculous right now… walking in my call to be a RESCUER of hearts, minds, and lives? I can say for sure I TRUST HIM! I take one step at a time, staying in HIS alignment! I learned recently that the verse…”Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” Psalm 119:105, represented the hand held lamp that was held to light the way which was only about 2-4 lumens, and compared to our light on our iPhones…about 100m lumens! So, taking that one step at a time, asking for HIS light is my heart’s goal! Total alignment is key to following!

The rescuing of a kitten may not be on your agenda today… it certainly was NOT on mine! But, if we are to live our FAITH-FILLED life, maybe HE can only show me my growth in this “second curve” (From Strength to Strength by Arthur C. Brooks) of my life by trying the very SCARY AND UNEXPECTED? I choose HIS ways, and only desire HIS impartations! What’s in front of you? What is HE calling you to do? Will it be counting on HIS VERY BREATH? Maybe… Take a risk as a very dear friend recently said to me! And she followed with, “and I will jump in with you!” I am here to jump in with you too… I will support you in any way I can!

As I close, I stop and look at my pups resting after a gorgeous hike on Roxy Ann, and Lovee fast asleep after play and dinner! HARMONY is beautiful! Whether it’s temporary or we are her forever home, I choose to learn all that YAHUAH has for me today! I hope this post stirs your heart to take some new risks as YOU follow HIM, HIS WORD, and HIS WAYS!
