HELLO HEART PARTNERS!! TODAY is NOVEMBER 21, 2024…It is the 8th Anniversary of my husband’s change of address to HEAVEN! I am filled with wonderful and loving memories of a man who came into my life as a RESCUE in 1994! We married in 1995, and received our beloved daughter in 1998!! George was a man of deep faith, always searching the scriptures and seeking YAHUAH for answers! I celebrate now as George has all of his questions answered by HIS SAVIOR!
George was a fantastic, and life-giving Father to our daughter…he never ceased pointing her to OUR FATHER YAHUAH! One of my greatest memories was listening to the two of them laugh so loudly during her bedtime routine!! They would read together without fail every night…and as she aged the books got bigger with more complexity, and one of the final ones they read was; Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, and Spy! Kind of a cool YAHUAH thing…as the Movie Starts in Theaters TODAY!!! I never got tired of watching the two of them together, whether they were playing guitar, cooking, watching a movie etc…they always shared so much incredible JOY!! Raising our daughter together is ONE of my greatest GIFTS from YAHUAH, and watching him FATHER her…was soul piercing as I often felt the presence of YAHUAH with us!
We enjoyed many ADVENTURES before she was born, and MANY MORE afterwards…but one of my fondest memories was our TRIP to ISRAEL when she turned 10 years old! It wasn’t too long after that trip that he introduced us to a MESSIANIC CONGREGATION in Irvine CA. ANOTHER great rescue where the Rabbi is filled with passion for YAHUAH and HIS WORD!! It felt like HOME!! George LOVED watching his daughter lead and participate in the DANCE circle…and you could find him SMILING from ear to ear! He often told her, “You make me so PROUD that my buttons just may pop off my shirt!” TRULY a SWEET, SWEET, YAHUAH ordained relationship!
George was a FRIEND to ALL, and I loved how he embraced my family and friends! He was an excellent cook focusing mostly on Mediterranean cuisine…which we all thoroughly ENJOYED! Today, we always look for restaurants to try with authentic Lebanese cuisine, as well as trying to replicate some of his famous dishes at home! Mine will never be as DELICIOUS, but it is fun to carry on the GIFT he gave us! He was also a great support and cheer-leader for my work with children and families, and LOVED seeing our daughter travel overseas to work and grow a beautiful community that continues to serve children with the HEARTWORKS IN MOTION (All HIM) model and curriculum!
I truly have a HEART FULL OF GREAT MEMORIES…and one that has not left me were his last words…”Katy (as he referred to me) DON’T FORGET TO LIVE AGAIN!” This has been a tricky one for me, but I felt his heart of love and grace to MOVE forward, as we will MEET AGAIN!! I cannot say that I have fully EMBRACED his meaning of “LIVE AGAIN,” but I seek and search Yahuah and HIS word daily to take my next right steps in LOVE…I believe I have been waiting for this 8th Anniversary as we both loved BIBLICAL numbers and their meanings!! EIGHT in YAHUAH’s WORD means NEW BEGINNING…so today as I REMEMBER, and THANK YAHUAH for George’s LIFE, LOVE, SUPPORT, ENCOURAGEMENT, and TRULY his rescue of me, and partnering with me to parent our MOST PRECIOUS GIFT…I will choose to BEGIN AGAIN with YAHUAH and SEE where HE LEADS ME!! MY HEART IS TO FOLLOW!
THANK YOU for reading and allowing me to share just a TINY BIT of my gratitude for GEORGE…YAHUAH knows my heart and deepest missing of him here on earth…BUT, I KNOW he is super happy, and we will see each other again! Until then…pressing on…KNOWING and TRUSTING YAHUAH’s NEXT steps in HIS GREAT PLAN FOR MY LIFE!
