HELLO HEART PARTNERS! I hope you are all doing well, traveling YOUR path that YAHUAH has just for YOU!!! I have been studying HIS word regarding feeling STUCK, or literally being STUCK in our current SEASONS of life! As I have been digging I have also related to the words emotionally paralyzed , or simply DISCONNECTED! Does this resonate for any of you?
I am discovering that these three attributes can look different each day, but they all have a similar problem that arises for us which revolves around how BRIGHT we are, and how we can acknowledge our “stuckness,” but yet we cannot MOVE beyond it! Well, three women in the BIBLE come to my heart….so let’s see what happens when we chat it out with them and their stories…maybe they have encouragement for us!
First woman who came to my heart that I can relate to is CHANNAH! She wanted a child with all her heart…In 1Samuel 1-onward we read her story of being STUCK!! Hannah was one of Elqanah’s wives but, vs 5 tells us…”but YAHUAH had shut up her womb!” Now, interestingly enough CHANNAH was treasured by her husband, as “…unto CHANNAH he (Elqanah) gave her a WORTHY portion; for he LOVED CHANNAH!” Although the other wife Peninnah gave Elqanah many children, she was not as LOVED as CHANNAH! Elqanah did not understand CHANNAH’S heart pain, or STUCKNESS as he truly adored her, as seen when he asked her, “…why is your heart grieved? Am I not better than 10 sons? (Portion of vs.8). For CHANNAH this went on year after year, and her heart was broken…Can you identify? Have you ever had so much greatness in your life, but it wasn’t “exactly what you desired, or you longed for something that appeared to be a BIG NO? Well, if we are honest this can be a tricky place of being STUCK, and we can even end up feeling shame around our desires! I know CHANNAH’S story well in my own life…and when I least expected it YAHUAH sent me a rescue! What about The Samaritan Woman, or the WOMAN AT THE WELL? Can you relate? She had made so many poor choices in relationships…and did not know NOW how to resolve a mistake she was in?? In John 4, we see she feels shame, isolation and even goes in the heat of the day to draw water at the well, when nobody else would be there!! And…just in the nick of time…YAHUSHA is waiting at the well…waiting to save her from herself and all of her mistakes that have kept her in bondage, and so emotionally paralyzed that she even questions HIS validity!! WOW…here she was so STUCK in her poor choices…and the RESCUER appears! Can you relate?? I sure can…and trying to make new good choices pressing on in life, and who should appear…YAHUSHA to RESCUE ME! Truly, when we are so STUCK or DISCONNECTED to the possibilities of YAHUAH…sometimes if we SIT STILL, LISTEN, and WAIT on HIM, HE will show us the way to go for healing, recovery, forgiveness, and restoration! Okay, how about LE’AH..second to no choice with Ya’aqov…he LOVED RACHEL and was tricked with LE’AH leaving her to always be SECOND CHOICE, even though she bore him many children. LE’AH lived in second place, knowing she was not desired, and basically felt tolerated! LE’AH was STUCK in a relationship that she knew she would NEVER BE LOVED like her sister Rachel! I have not had that exact situation, but I do know this experience of “being tolerated,” and not really revered for who YAHUAH made me to be! Maybe it was so someone else could get me to do something they were not necessarily great at, or joining a group knowing I did not “fit in,” but felt tolerated! WOW…what an awful and STUCK way to live!
These three examples make me PAUSE now, to dive deeper into my current “STUCKNESS!” For sure being able to identify with BIBLICAL examples begins to shed LIGHT on what is happening for me! I can identify with many more women in the BIBLE but for now, I think it’s time to find my way FREE of this emotional paralyzation! So let’s get HIS word down into our hearts, to see if we can be FREE!
The first scripture that comes to my heart is Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not, for I am with you:be not dismayed; for I am your ELOHIYM: I will strengthen you; yea, I will help you; yea, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.” Okay, if I believe HIS word, then right now in this STUCK place YAHUAH is with me! HMMM…do I believe? Quoting one of our Pastors from this morning…”Would I still be discouraged (STUCK) if I heard the prayers that Yahusha is praying for me?” I had to PAUSE…and ask myself some questions…Can I choose to not be afraid, trust YAHUAH, and know that YAHUSHA is praying for ME? I pray…and am led to 1 John 2:1 “My little children, these things I write unto you, that ye sin not, we have an advocate with the Father, Yahusha Ha’Mashiach the righteous:” YAHUAH knows just what I need…HIS specific words to get me out of this STUCK place! There are more scriptures that may speak specifically to YOU, but these have turned my heart around! Here is the key…sit, ask, listen and seek HIS WORDS!
WOW! What a journey we are on…it’s a GIFT! I am well aware that I may get STUCK again…but today I PRAISE YAHUAH for showing me how to UNLOCK the door of this miserable state! I SHOUT AND SING…FREEDOM again!
I hope and pray that this post today helps you UNLOCK a STUCK place…remember we are all on this journey of discovery together! Hang in there and keep SEEKING HIS KINGDOM FIRST!
