Hello Heart Partners! Well, I hope you are all taking a DEEP BREATH as we head into SUMMER FUN, which includes celebrating DADS, and MEN who have mentored, supported, and loved us through our tough life moments like a Dad! This year in the USA, the beginning of SUMMER and FATHER’S Day land together on June 21, 2026…what a joy and delight to be able to celebrate both. Let’s start with what YAHUAH says about DADS… Did you know that God’s word holds being a DAD as a very high calling for our children? Check out this verse, Proverbs 20:7 CEPHER “The just man walks in His integrity: his children are blessed after him.” So being a FATHER is very important to Yahuah and comes with great responsibility! Deuteronomy 6:6-7 Amplified “These words which I am commanding you today, shall be [written] on your heart and mind. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children [impressing God’s precepts on their minds and penetrating hearts with HIS truths] and shall speak of them when you sit in your house and when you walk on the road and when you lie down and when you get up.” I’d say FATHER’S have a great call from Yahuah to their children, but how can Moms help them achieve this high calling?

First and foremost…OF COURSE WE CAN!! As women we have the superpower to encourage, and create a supportive environment where FATHER’S are honored as the spiritual leader they are called to be! As women, wives, and Moms we can affirm a FATHER’S position in the family, and if you are supporting a man as a FATHER, you can encourage, and equip him to lead his children always pointing to our ultimate FATHER GOD! I have worked with so many Dads in my career, and I have never met one that doesn’t want to be his absolute BEST for his children! A little empowerment, and encouragement goes a long way to support them! Proverbs 1:8 “Hear my son, your father’s instruction and forsake not your mother’s teaching.” I find this to be so collaborative straight from our Father to us! And as women no matter our positions in life we can model a Proverbs 31 woman, and demonstrate the anchoring of a family to spiritual authority! I recently shared with a Dad how when daughters are young they simply want to learn how to dance joyfully through life by the example of their first PRINCE, their Dads! Dads to daughters can often be the BEST model for a young woman as they grow and find a partner for life! And as a Dad to a son, they simply want to learn all of Dad’s tricks to the trade of being a man some day! Great Dads can mold and shape the next generation of men in their young boys, so they too seek a partner that is a lifelong match! It’s sometimes difficult to think about the magnitude we model for our children, but by YAHUAH’S grace alone we can always make a U-Turn, through apologizing, pointing out our mistakes as adults, and seeking forgiveness from our children (especially young adults and mature adult children). I have learned as a Mom to an adult daughter that being honest, staying humble, listening quietly, and always being willing to accept my mistakes and apologize is worth its weight for eternal purposes!

So are you ready to CELEBRATE important men in your life? Well, let’s pull SUMMER FUN into our celebration of DADS… Summer is such a great time to reset, and recalibrate in our families! It’s a time to spend more time together, share late nights of adventure, and travel if possible! If you have young children maybe consider a special outing that DAD would enjoy, or give DAD a day off and prepare his favorite food, desert, or engage in a favorite activity! As our children age, they usually know exactly what their DAD will enjoy, so encourage sibling collaboration and band together for a super special day of honoring DAD! Our Father is very precise…Exodus 20:12 Tree of Life “Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long upon the land which ADONAI your God is giving you.” Many people misunderstand this verse, but if you stop, breathe and reflect on YAHUAH’S heart…one realizes that the act of honoring will look differently at times, but it should involve respect, appreciation, and obedience. Teaching our children is the greatest reason we should support men to be the best DAD possible! Let’s take a look at Ephesians 6:1-4 which also has a direct instruction to DAD as well…”Children obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (which is the first commandment with a promise), so that it may be well with you, and you may live long on earth.” 4 “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”

My guess right now is that you might need a PAUSE, a chance to talk to God yourself about HIS alignment for your SUMMER plans, as well as the celebration of your own Father, and the honoring for your children’s Dad! If you do not have either in your life anymore…ask YAHUAH to give you some encouragement for a man you know, or a perfect stranger. We truly have the super power given to us from our faithful Father to share with others.

Whatever Summer fun you have planned…don’t forget YAHUSHA! He wants to be with you as you adventure, visit family, or just have good ol’ fun in the sun! If you are struggling with HOW to honor a FATHER in your life…ASK YAHUAH…HE will give you the greatest of ideas to bless a man’s heart, and help him feel appreciated! HE loves each of you so much, and longs to be a FAITHFUL FATHER to you! Now, if like me, your husband, and father are in heaven, celebrate what you enjoyed about them, and thank your HEAVENLY FATHER for the gifts HE imparted through them! MOST of all… 1 Corinthians 10:31 AMP “So then, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of [our great] God.”
