Hello friends of POSITIVE LIVING WITH A PERCEPTIVE SPIRIT!!! YES…hopefully you took note of the new title and pics!! I thought since we are diving into new topics weekly, that maybe you’d like to see the “WHO” in the living!!! If you have not seen me lately…I do have long, curly hair, and as a general rule I am always holding Benny, the black Phantom poodle who belonged to my sister who went home to YESHUA 16 months ago.
OKAY, details are a great way to begin thinking about YOUR LIFE COMPASS…so let’s get busy! Have you ever used a compass or ever desired too? Well, I love them and find them fascinating and quite helpful. I love in its simple definition it is described as: “an instrument for determining directions,” but take note that this is accomplished through the “freely rotating magnetized needle that indicates magnetic north.” HMMM…this might be a stretch but hang in there…WHO and WHAT are YOUR COMPASS? Do YOU pay attention to the MAGNETIZED NEEDLE? Well, since my new journey started at the end of March, I must say that my COMPASS (YESHUA and HIS WORD) have been pivotal to helping me reach today! In all of our HUMAN striving, we often discard the tools that have been given to us…and one is our MAGNETIC relationship to GOD, HIS WORD, and YESHUA! That’s right we fumble around, and all over ourselves, seeking other’s advice, the advice from books, podcasts etc…but what about that magnetic pull to “draw near to YESHUA” to SEEK HIM WITH ALL OF OUR BEING? AHHH I know exactly what you are thinking…not necessary, not much spiritual going on, just day to day choices and living? GONG!!! NEVER is that the truth, and NEVER do we have all of the answers…in fact, one of the most recent course corrections on my compass was: “YOU have been at this mountain long enough, turn and go NORTH!” (Deuteronomy 1:6 and 2:3) DID you ever really see that? Well, I did not…but in our human terms its where we have stayed too long, given up hope, lost ambition, circled and circled thinking it was the wall of Jericho and it was going to fall…(well maybe for some of you) but for those like me…NO! God built us with a pattern, and HE GAVE US FREE WILL…so He has no problem allowing us to “toss” the compass and try life on our own! Possibly some of you have had the same experience with your earthly Father…exhibiting unconditional love and letting you fall and scrape your knees, but never too far to rescue you. TRUTH is only GOD can truly rescue us from ourselves, and get us to “GO NORTH” as needed! For me…I see YESHUA and HIS WORD as the MOST LOVING when I have gotten off course, and then realize HE truly is and was there all along loving me back like the STRONGEST MAGNET on the planet! Well is that surprising? HE IS LOVE, HE is the COMPASS, and why would I WANT anything or anyone else’s guidance to set me straight? (That’s not to say that HE doesn’t use other YESHUA followers, because in my case HE DOES MIGHTILY, but I know the guidance is from HIM) So fascinating isn’t it, when you PAUSE and let your heart take a hold of HIS TRUTH about each and everyone of you! YOU ARE SO SUPER LOVED, and FOUGHT FOR!
So…maybe you can tell…I am VERY PASSIONATE about my COMPASS? HOLY SPIRIT is here to guide us, if only we would LISTEN…and follow! For me HOLY SPIRIT is the magnetic needle…pulling us NORTH…the best way to understand “magnetic north” is to simply know that the needle is always pulled north in response to the earth’s magnetic field, but remember it can’t always be “true north” as the magnetic poles are not fixed in relation to it’s axis. (Just like us). Let’s not go cray on the science, but instead give life to the concept…I see it this way…when I decide to go the way of the world or my own discernment of what I think GOD would do…my heart which is my compass needle, begins to be PULLED, and hopefully I respond, but sometimes I don’t! As humans we continue on thinking we are not doing anything wrong, or worth GOD’s attention right now…BUT the needle pulls stronger and stronger even shaking as we walk further and further! Oh yes we still “play church, and identify as a believer, but really?? Are we ALL IN WITH YESHUA? Well, you get to answer for yourself, as I cannot and will not judge you…because it’s me too…and now I am here writing to your hearts in great hopes you will grab a hold of your compass and turn NORTH…HIS NORTH for you! YESHUA and HIS WORD are waiting in love and grace…
I ceased working a “real” job a little over 2 weeks ago, and well I am trying but it takes every ounce of my being not to throw the COMPASS and run to find a new job! But then…in the nick of time…my heart turns north and LISTENS…kind of like the Apostle Peter…struggling, arguing, etc…but he never gave up even when he tossed his compass out of fear and denied knowing YESHUA…OOPS Pete! But no worries because YESHUA was his compass and Peter’s heart was magnetically pulled north! This past Sunday Pastor Natalie was teaching and she mentioned Peter and his EPIC FAILURES…and how that is always referenced, but the truth is that Peter always turned back to YESHUA and let HIM bring restoration! In that moment my heart lightened…and I wrote, “In my EPIC failures I choose to let YESHUA RESTORE me! I will be a Peter!” “I choose to be a GOD-MADE woman!
