Hello Heart Partners! Hoping that you all are doing well, as you journey with YESHUA…Today we are going to dive deep into reminding ourselves and hopefully begin new practices with the words, vocabulary, and communication we use! Now, please don’t jump to conclusions that I have been experiencing words that hurt…because we all have these unfortunate happenings; and in this post I pray to illuminate a positive and scriptural way to handle! The truth about WORDS is that YOU cannot take them back or erase them from your memory and other’s hearts and minds! It’s so unfortunate that we don’t have this at the forefront of our minds when we unleash and wield our WORDS like a SWORD! So, throughout my history and journey on this earth, I have read three pivotal books to help me transform and begin to actually THINK before I speak, as well as I have learned what to do when hurtful and untrue words have been hurled at me! Let’s dive into GOD’S truth about words…
Luke 4:22 Amplified Bible “And, [as He continued on] they all were speaking well of Him, and were in awe and were wondering about the WORDS of grace which were coming from His lips; and they were saying, “Is this not Joseph’s son?” WOW…don’t we all want our words to be GRACIOUS to others? I sure do…even when we are led to speak BOLD TRUTH we can always wrap our WORDS in grace and love! I love this quote from Vance Havner, “The Bible has a lot to say about our mouths, our lips, our tongues, for our speech betrays us. What is down in the well will come up in the bucket.” You see GOD has given us a most incredible gift of communication, but the real GIFT lies in how we use it! I don’t BELEIVE GOD gave us this gift to use selfishly and tear down others, and often ourselves! Instead we can SPEAK LIFE to others, and in doing so we just may change or transform the course of their journey for GOD’S GOOD! We can even affect generations that follow by being a LIFE GIVING COMMUNICATOR! Please do not confuse “LIFE GIVING” with fake words, praises, or platitudes!
I love Matthew 15:10-11 in the Message as our unkind words can truly mimic VOMIT! “He then called the crowd together and said, “Listen, and take this to heart. It’s not what you swallow that pollutes your life, but what you VOMIT up.” SO TRUE!!! These words that often fly out like VOMIT to others are truly PUTRID! Because…YESHUA has taught us…Luke 6:45 Tree of Life Version “Out of the good treasure of his heart the good man brings forth good, and out of evil the evil man brings forth evil. For from the overflow of the heart his mouth speaks.” Now, you just might say, “I AM NOT EVIL!” But remember YESHUA is teaching in HIS WORD that we are capable of EVIL and UNKIND words…we must surrender our thoughts, hearts, and words unto HIM so we can be purged and healed of any and all evil sitting down deep in the well of our hearts…or at some point those nasty words will VOMIT out onto another and HURT them! So here is the question of the day…Do you want your WORDS to hurt or heal others and yourself? REMEMBER the WORDS we speak to and about ourselves can still be VOMIT of evil! So now the choice is ours…as YESHUA has MANY MANY scriptures to guide us in our SPEECH…Will we listen and obey?
Now you might ask??? “What does one do when EVIL and UNTRUTHFUL words have been spoken directly to you?” I do not have all the answers but I am willing to share my personal process with YESHUA…FIRST, I ask HIM if those words spoken are TRUE of me?? Then I wait…I wait and continue to seek HIM to put HIS finger on anything in me that would cause a person to say those hurtful things to me? If I get clearance that those words do not describe me, then I ask YESHUA to pluck those out of my heart, heal my memories of them, and to speak to the person who VOMITED them onto me, and help them to see TRUTH! If the WORDS spoken have TRUTH to them about issues in my HEART…I then ask YESHUA for clarity, and then forgiveness, and purging of whatever created this evil inside me! I always make sure to apologize without EXCUSES! Long ago I learned from PASTOR STEVE MAYS, “Saying I’m Sorry with EXCUSES means NOTHING…Simply APOLOGIZE and pray that YESHUA and the person will forgive YOU!” Of course we know GOD will forgive us, but people do not always forgive, thus the need to BETTER UNDERSTAND how much our WORDS MATTER!
I referenced three books…THE BIBLE, and “The Power of a Woman’s Words,” by Sharon Jaynes, as well as “Words That Hurt, Words That Heal,” by Carole Mayhall. These have been pivotal and LIFE GIVING to me and my journey here on earth! Remember to give GRACE to yourself, as we all will have seasons where our words are NOT SO PLEASANT or LIFE GIVING! YESHUA KNOWS US AND UNDERSTANDS! I love 2Corinthians 12:8-10. “I pleaded with the Lord three times about this, that it might leave me (Saul/Paul asking for the thorn(suffering) be taken from him). But He said to me, “My GRACE is sufficient for you, your power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Messiah may dwell in me. For Messiah’s sake, then, I delight in weaknesses, in INSULTS, in distresses, in persecutions, in calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
As I close today…I pray you are encouraged, and strengthened with the POWER of GOD’s WORD about our words!! I encourage you to study all SCRIPTURE has to say about how much our WORDS MATTER! And for now…I will continue to BE A DEBORAH as YESHUA has reminded me lately of that aspect of HIS CALL! I send LOVE and PRAYERS for each reader…Please share as you feel led!!!
LET’S CHOOSE to do the work with YESHUA and be BEACONS of HOPE with WORDS THAT HEAL OTHERS and OURSELVES!
Shalom,
DanaKae

Psalm 42:1-3 The Message. “A white tailed deer drinks from the creek; I want to drink God, deep drafts of God. I’m thirsty for GOD-ALIVE. I wonder, “Will I ever make it—arrive and drink in God’s presence?” (These precious babies were just born in my back yard! SO GRATEFUL)
